Life outside of crafting has taken over the last few months, not that I'm complaining, but it may explain my online absence. I have picked up a few new students and a more regular family commitment, as well as some voluntary work.
I have been working on the mulberry silk scarf below, which currently stands at 60.5cm and has taken more hours than I can count!

Here is a closeup of the pattern, which is called Little Ladders by PurlSoho.com I'm using 4ply yarn and 3.25cm needles. I don't think it's even at half the ideal length for a scarf.

I can't get enough of this yarn which has been dyed by bowfiddleyarns.com check them out!
I recently bought a kit to make an embroidered purse with a clasp. Unfortunately the step-by-step instructions are in Chinese and even when I translated them (via my phone) I still can't make much sense of them! It's not easy to distinguish between fabrics in the instruction photos.

Nice embroidery, eh? 😛

A comprehensive kit. Quite pleased I now have self-threading needles 😌
Progress will be updated in the next blog post. Hopefully I'll have finished the purse by then, but it's been a while since I used the sewing machine and I'm scared 😱!
Thank you for taking the time to read this,
Lingling
