This beautful hanging decoration has been tatted by my mum :-)
 
Tatting is a dying art but one that my mum still practices. It involves the tying of knots and loops using thread wrapped around a shuttle (which is eye-shaped). This item has been made using fine crochet thread and took several hours over several days to make. It can be used as a decoration, hung up on a shelf or wall at home. It can also be used as a bookmark and a keyring, a unique item for yourself or a gift.
 
The motif is approximately 6cm long (excluding the tassel) and about 5cm wide at its widest point. It is dark green, and including the tassel 12cm long.
